Waverley House Hotel

Review 1: The hotel itself is good value, good location and good service. However, the restaurant (Deans)was not so good. Clean and with a good menu but I had to ask for a menu and was then told that i would have to wait for at least 30 minutes for my food. I left and went to Pizza Hut, a few doors away

Review 2: room good, a bit too warm though. Ran out of plates and glasses at breakfast, they couldnt cope with lots of guests turning up all at once. Breakfast good though. overall a good hotel.

Review 3: this hotel was just about ok. Good location for us but quality of room furnishing and breakfast only average to poor. Upright fan in bedroom rather than air conditioning. Wont stay here again.

Review 4: after only a one night stay i would definately stay again and would recommend this hotel.bottles of mineral water in the room was a nice touch.bathroom clean but could do with modernising.

Crowne Plaza London Shoreditch

Review 1: View from the breakfast room on 7th floor over the City is very good. Rooms clean and bright, bathrooms very nice with attractive toiletries. Very good value for a City hotel.

Review 2: Nice, clean, big rooms, lacks atmosphere, not so nice neighbourhood, walking distance to City. Internet acces, minibar, nice bathrooms - shower in tub a bit akward. But good business hotel.

Review 3: I guess I am not familiar with the interative TV. I thought I would just want to watch news but not available. Maybe should have an option of normal TV with news. Did not get to see any news while over there.

Review 5: Very lovely hotel for the price with friendly staff. Location was ok, a 10 min walk from Liverpool St station. However as it is mainly a business area at weekends most of the surrounding shops and pubs are shut.

Country Inn and Suites Bloomsbury hotel

Review 1: Good Hotel

Review 2: I would happily stay at this hotel again. The location is excellent, just minutes from the British Museum but still in a fairly quiet area. The rooms are small, but that seems to be the rule in London for hotels that are moderately priced. My room, a single, was clean and tidy. The breakfast was filling and effeciently served. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the shower would only dispense hot water when the volume was slowed to a trickle -- but even this was not unbearable. The telephone was not working when I arrived, but it was fixed within a day. The wireless Internet did not seem to work either, but I was able to use my dial-up service for just 50 pence per call, time unlimited.

Review 3: Rooms were small, but fine if you dont want to spend much time in them. Breakfast service was a bit poor (half used jams and butter left on the table). However the location was excellent for all central London activities and i would recommend the hotel.

Review 4: They didnt have enough double rooms on the first night and put us in the "suite". This was an adequately sized double room - so it was a bit of a shock when we moved into the double the following night. Cramped and stuffy

Central Park Hotel

Review 1: Hotel was well located for my trip and well priced also. Only comment was that the continental breakfast could have included some meat and cheese.

Review 2: Good room, reception staff could learn to smile and try to look like they enjoy being at work. Good location. Shame room had a small old fashioned tv but minor gripes only

Review 3: Nice clean and comfortable hotel in a great location. Close to Bayswater & Queensway tube stations and virtually opposite Kensington Gardens. Breakfast was included but had to pay extra £2 for cooked food - still a very good deal for only £58/night.

Review 4: Booked this online at £84 for a triple room on Discount city hotels website. Less than room rack rate apparently. Room on 5th floor was clean, bright (on a sunny London day), adequate space considering its London. But bathroom small and beds a bit saggy. Location not on a noisy street and windows that open for fresh air, YAY! Manager of breakfast service could be more polite but perhaps we caught her at a bad moment. Continental breakfast is included but they serve a hot breakfast for an additional £4, pretty good value for full plate of fry up. Conveniently located 2 parallel streets away from Queensway station with supermarkets, restaurants, tube. Full marks for location.

Review 5: I was very happy with this hotel. Location is great, only 2 min walk to the nearest underground station. Nice clean and bright rooms. The size of the room was bigger than i expected. Only con is the price on the wifi internet connection.

Romanos Hotel

Review 1: An ideal hotel for a short stay in London.The rooms were clean and basic.It would have been nice if the breakfast staff had been a bit more friendly!

Review 2: We are stay 1 night in the Ronamos Hotels Ensuite Double Room 12A. The room is on basement, overall condition is fine, clean bothroom, foor and bed sheet, comfortable bed. Silent in the night except foot step from uper floor. But boiler is dirty and no tooth brush and paste. Breakfast is simple, coffe or tea, one boiled egg and few peace of bread. Price with this wevsite is 59 GBP similar with others. But the funny this is, i paid 60 pounds in cash when i checked in, the staff said he would gave me the 1 pound change later, but he never appear again neither my 1 pound :) Would recommend.

Review 3: Not satisfied with VFM. Though I reserved using my CC, when I check in they insisted cash. Very bad. But discount city hotel services to be appreciated.

Review 4: I stayed one night. Very good location, hotel is nice and good value for money. Friendly staff.

Review 5: Easy transportation by bus or underground. Breakfast was a good start to the day. Be prepared to pay 10 pounds extra if you pay your hotel bill by credit card.

Hotel 87

Review 1: Overall we were happy with our stay and would book again, only minor problems were as follows: The pillows were actually thinner than the duvet which did not make for the most comfortable nights sleep. Also there was only one each without any spares so we had to resort to using spare towels for better comfort. Booked online the night before arrival, although i had received conformation e-mails and ref numbers the hotel had no record of my booking. Very expensive car parking, you can get cheaper in central london.

Review 2: Compared to other hotels it was cheap and the quad rooms were of good quality. Direction hint: All descriptions tell you to take "Exit 1" at Vauxhall station, but "Exit 3" is the right one. Then the rest of the description makes sense again.

Review 3: We had booked over www.discountcityhotels.net with a continental breakfast (CB). As we checked in we had discussions about the CB and they told us that it was not included and that we had to pay extra for it. Luckily we had the online resvervation confirmation printout with us. So we finally had our CB without paying extra.

Review 4: Good value hotel within easy reach of major attractions. No tea and coffee making facilities but coffee shop onsite.

Review 5: Very pleased with the quality and standard of the hotel. Only problem was in locating it as the address sign where the hotel 87 was written was obscured by folliage and we hadnt appreciated that it was the Comfort Inn from the internet booking form

Park International Hotel

Review 1: Hotel was very nosiy, I could hear my neighbours and a family in the room above throughout most of the night. Good value for its location, you wont get a 3 star in this area for less. Breakfast was reasonable although nothing to write home about.

Review 3: Nice hotel, friendly staff, but... charged £1 for a 2002 London map/whats on review, we had a wakeup call at 03:00 followed by a phone call at 03:30 (neither requested - wrong room) - then they wanted £2 for left luggage which I refused to pay given the phone calls; also breakfast pitiful - most Europeans would be amazed at lack of choice and having to make own toast in a toaster!

Review 4: My colleagues and I took 3 double rooms at the Park International during Sep and had no complaints whatsoever. The rooms were nice & clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms spotless. The service at the reception and in the restaurant were top notch and the breakfast spread was more than sufficient. The only complaint is that the variety of breakfast served should be varied each day. As we had the exact same items served for all 5 days that we stayed there. But its complimentary, so cant really expect too much. Also a bit of difficulty getting our luggage from the hotel to our cab as they cant stop directly in front of the hotel for pick up. Still, we had a wonderful time all around.

Review 5: Have stayed at this hotel 4-5 times, due to its reasonable price (for double rooms) and excellent location, with only 5 minutes walk to very practical Underground station - and huge supermarket. Friendly service. Minuses are the very limited size of some single rooms, and the somewhat chaotic bustle during the breakfast buffet rush hour.

Millennium Mayfair hotel

Review 1: good hotel, excellent location but a bit noisy with traffic - room overlooked grosvenor square. overall very good value for money - and worth staying over for christmas shopping

Review 4: paying £150 for hotel room that stank of smoke had windows taped up and no cold water so washing impossible told could have shower on 4th floor I was on first floor. Two guys next door having a riotous time they could have been in my room the soundproofing was so bad. The location was great but next time no point in paying for such poor facilities

Review 5: My boyfriend and I have just spent the weekend at the Millenium Mayfair for his birthday The hotels location is excellent, very close to the shops and nightlife. We saved lots of money on cabs as we found we could easily walk everywhere. We booked a standard double room which was clean and very cosy (although the bathroom was small, it had everything we needed- including an iron which i always find handy!) All in all we had a fab weekend and for £110 for a night - you cant go wrong.

Rembrandt Hotel

Review 1: Lovely Hotel, excellent staff. Food very good and plenty of it. Beds very comfortable. Located directly opposite the V & A Muesum, so easy to find. Short walk to Harrods. I would use this hotel again.

Review 3: quite noisy. The floorboards in the room above were really creaking and there was a lot of noise in the corridor last night people moving about. The tv was also very fuzzy. expensive beer!

Review 5: (Single) room was perfectly acceptable - clean and refurbished - but nothing more than I would expect from a 4* hotel. Hotel itself is rather old and depressing. Restaurant was tired and dull, service was awful and food had obviously been more appetizing at 7 pm than it was after sitting under hot lamps till 8.30pm! Location is fine if you want to visit museums, but too far out for theatreland, Soho, Oxford St. and Coven Garden. Very overpriced. Youre paying for Kensington location not for hotel quality.

Queens Hotel

Review 1: You get what you pay for - a clean bed, en suite bathroom, shabby decor, and out of centre location, but all at a low price and fine if you just want somewhere to lay your head

Review 2: Noisy at night with people running about all night. Rooms poor with old utility furniture. Reception area bleak.

Review 3: Good location. Good breakfast.Good shower. Room needs daily cleaning.

Shaftesbury Premier London Hyde Park

Review 1: This is a much smarter hotel that the images on the website suggest. Our room (a triple) was split level across a huge beautiful window and was clean, well equipped and well furnished. The main bedroom was very cramped though, making it almost impossible to open the drawers because of the position of the bed. That said it had a small kitchen which we were not expecting which is always handy especially as I was travelling with my children. The Reception staff were a bit dopey but overall it was very good value given its location just on the perimeter of Hyde Park. I would use this hotel again.

Review 2: Close to Paddington station so convenient for trains. Well appointed, if small, bedrooms.Recently modernised & good value.

Belvedere Hotel

Review 1: We stayed in the family room for 5 people.Do not have a bad word to say for the hotel.We have 3 boys under the age of 9 and they really enjoyed their stay too. Would definately return.

Review 3: We had excellent service and would stay there again. The only hiccup was the first time we stayed,we were on the top floor and no lift.The staff arranged for us to stay on the second floor on our next visit,very helpful. They also let us store our bags in between stays.

Commodore Hotel

Review 1: Staff VERY friendly and helpful.Excellent Continental Breakfast.Rooms on the small side - but not unacceptable.Adapted Victorian building could be problematic in respect of accessibility.

Review 2: Just off Hyde Park with a quiet relaxing atmosphere. I didnt get an opportunity to sample the restaurant. Only point to watch out for was the onsuite bathroom was down a flight of stairs from the bedroom.

Review 3: I found the Commodore Hotel on the internet and was a little scared to book something sight unseen. What a wonderful surprise. This hotel is a hidden gem. The room are gracious, the beds and linens are great and staff warm and helpful. I will definitely be returning to this hotel again in the near future!

Best Western Mostyn Hotel

Review 1: room at the ground is not good for old people and i hope for new people to give them best room so they can come again not in the ground

Review 2: the only thing i didnt like is the size of the room and the absence of fridge in the room.

Royal Norfolk Hotel

Review 1: I was disappointed to be given a room overlooking London Street, with all its noise, when I had specifically asked for a quiet room overlooking Norfolk Square.

Review 2: Nice and coasy hotel in the heart of London close to everything. This was our first visit at this hotel but not the last.

Review 3: The hotel was very basic and did not have much to do in it and the rooms were cold and night and the room and the toilet were tiny

Review 4: The bathroom was so small that you could not stand in the shower without your back touching the shower controls and your front touching the curtain.

Review 5: The rooms were extremely small with a substandard bathroom crammed into the corner. The room we stayed in was on the 4th floor and to get to it we had to cross to another building over a fire exit walk way. Would not stay here again.

Best Western Premier Shaftesbury Kensington hotel

Review 1: A good location and acceptable hotel at very good rates, freindly staff, but the parking was £28 per day at an off site car park.

Review 2: location excellent, just a few hundred metres from tube station and earls court arena. Our room was on the small side but clean although rather warm and he air con did not seem to be working. We had a noise coming from the radiator but this was rectified. Would class as a three star rather than four.

Review 3: I arrived at the hotel at around 7pm and they attempted to accommodate me at their "extension building" across the road. After some pressure from myself they eventually found me a room in the main hotel. The following morning a "free" copy of the Daily Telegraph was promised - it was actually one paper between three rooms - main part for one , business part for the next etc.

Review 4: The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless and this hotel provided a perfect base for our weekend in London.

Review 5: Staff very friendly, however requested room with 2 double beds, but this was a different price, which defeated the discount price. No cable TV or sports in rooms, nor anywhere on the premises. In-room internet, minifridge and microwve was a plus,and staff sent someone to help with the broadband connection.Would not choose this hotel again,though- nothing special to make it stand out in this price-range.

Strand Palace Hotel

Review 1: Very central and good transport links. Clean, compact.

Review 2: I stayed at the Strand Palace Hotel on Sat/Sun 20/21 January, in Room 298. On the Saturday evening, c.6 pm, I ran a bath. The hot water was lukewarm at best. Similarly, on Sunday morning, the water was far from hot. Not good enough! I trust that this gets back to the hotel.

Review 3: With the heat wave over and a good quiet room on the 8th floor... a comfortable and value for money good nights sleep.

Review 5: I actualy slept on the Bathroom Floor on the night as: 1. I was in a room that overlooked the Strand and it was extrmely noisy 2. There was a sound of sobbing and crying from the next room until 3AM which was when i decided to sleep in the Bath Room. For that and for that reason only, I probably wouldnt stay at the Stand Palace again. However, its a nice Hotel

Novotel London Tower Bridge hotel

Hesperia London Victoria hotel

Review 1: This hotel was good value for money, good central location for getting around London and sightseeing. The Victoria tube station and train station is just opposite the hotel. The only negative comment was on one of the nights we stayed it was a bit noisy. There was a small yard just across the road in front the hotel, full of industrial dustbins. These were all being emptied about 2.00am in the morning,on top of that an articulated lorry was trying to off load a container also. Besides this everything else about the hotel was good.

Review 2: A good hotel with pleasant helpful staff with good rooms and food.

Review 3: We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during which we had to change rooms 3 times. The air conditioning allowed next-doors conversation to be piped directly into our room at 1am, so we were moved to a double where there was no hot water. We then moved to our final room where the air-conditioning broke down. Through all this the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also gave us a good discount at the end, so we left happy.

Review 4: Perfect for people using Victoria station as their entry to the big city. My only fault would be that the reception and public areas are a bit small.

Review 5: great hotel, stayed here the night before I did the Marathon. The staff were very helpful and hotel rooms were of a very good & modern standard. The only thing which let it down was the hotels leisure facilities. They were small & quite dated compared the the rest of the hotel. Other than this I would highly recommend it.

Comfort Inn Edgware Road hotel

Review 1: The room was a lot better than I expected. Especially for the amount I paid. staff on the reception were very friendly. Buffet breakfast was also very good, with free Mens Health magazine, Glossy magazine for the girls and free newspapers in abundance. Would definately stay here again!

Review 2: Friendly staff, a basic good value hotel. Not a great part of the Edgeware Rd., but bus service is frequent. Underground is a ten minute walk.

Review 3: Not in an attractive area, but close to West End. Very basic rooms in a seemingly new hotel; hotel was very clean and provided a fine continental breakfast.

Review 4: This hotel was a real bargain! It was very clean. The room was fairly small, but contained everything that you would need for a night or two in London including air conditioning, which was much appreciated. The room was quiet despite the hotel being on a busy street. Perhaps not the nicest location in London, but only a short walk to the tube station. Breakfast consisted of cereals, toast and mini muffins and although the selection wasnt extensive, it was certainly sufficient.

Review 5: Comfortable, newly done-up with air-conditioning (an asset in London). Decent continental breakfast; just a 5 minutes brisk walk to Edgware Rd station. Great value for money!
