Waverley House Hotel

Review 1: All You need as a tourist. Nice room with view over London eye. Nice shops and restaurants nearby. Busstop just outside hotel, direct line to Camden or Trafalgar Square.

Review 2: could not fault hotel, staff, service or breakfast. The location was exactly what we wanted, very central and easily accessable.

Review 3: Just does the trick for a rare overnight stay in Londons Westend. High recommended.

No A/C on a hot weekend and the roadnoise on Southampton Row is loud. Staff were excellent and eating breakfast on the terrace was very enjoyable.Plenty of good bars and eateries on the doorstep.

Crowne Plaza London Shoreditch

Review 1: Absolute great value for money. The location isnt too good, as the hotel appears to be next door to a "Gentlemans Club". However, if you enjoy a good curry, then Brick Lane is a stones throw away

Country Inn and Suites Bloomsbury hotel

Review 1: Excellent location, easy to find but the area was very noisy and as a consequence sleeping was a little restless. The service was very slow and with one person at reception ignoring us for several minutes before dealing with us just for our room key. Breakfast was adequate but slow we therefore expected freshly cooked but the eggs were over done and a little dry particulary as we were the only ones for breakfast at that point in time.

Review 2: Very handy place in heart of West End and reasonable price. Breakfast was dreadful - everything had run out way before close of service and the orange juice had never seen an orange in its life! Cold bacon and no sausages!

Review 3: Problems with heating, hot water, storage space, no bar or relation area. Good location bbut staff a little hostile st times.

Review 4: Rooms were small, but fine if you dont want to spend much time in them. Breakfast service was a bit poor (half used jams and butter left on the table). However the location was excellent for all central London activities and i would recommend the hotel.

Central Park Hotel

Review 1: Hotel in a central, good location. Value for money.

Review 2: When breakfast is open to 10 o`clock, you must serv food to all guest that arrived befor 10.

Review 3: If you can do, you will choose he English Breakfast (fried eggs, bacon, susages, cheese, beans, tomato...) instead of Continental Breakfast (jam, butter, bugget, cereals) General I was satisfied exclude breakfast and caffé. The transport network is correct. Two metro station within 5 minutes and a railway station within 15 minutes by foot.

Review 4: Very good location across from Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Easy walk to Royal Albert Hall, Natural History and Science Museums. Enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Review 5: excellent value plenty big enough room very clean all provisions replaced every day and all staff polite and helpful [and really is only a few minutes and easy to find from the underground] would highly recommend and will be using each time we come up

Romanos Hotel

Review 1: I stayed one night. Very good location, hotel is nice and good value for money. Friendly staff.

Review 2: Easy transportation by bus or underground. Breakfast was a good start to the day. Be prepared to pay 10 pounds extra if you pay your hotel bill by credit card.

Review 3: Very nice small hotel. VERY small rooms, but clean!!! We had problems having our towls changed and had to ask for it twice. But very good for the money. Good breakfast!

Pembridge Palace Hotel

Review 1: Although only staying for the one nite, I was suprised by the friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff. Would be happy to stay there again.

Review 2: Lobby and breakfast were fine and the staff were very helpful. The rooms left soemthing to be desired. The bedspreads were not clean and we could not count on hot water whether early or mid monring or late at night.

Review 3: The Pembridge is good quality for the money.

Review 4: Nice, small hotel within easy reach of all amenities. The only critisism is that it is very noisy. Fire alarm went off during the early hours and again first thing in the morning. Noisy and inconsiderate guests from floor above can be clearly heard so there is a problem with inadequate soundproofing.

Review 5: When we arrived we stayed in a twin room and we had to complain because the room was so little we could not open our bagages! Then we were moved to a bigger one that was very goog.

Hotel 87

Review 1: Hotel is the budget rooms section of the Comfort inn Vauxhall. luckily they ere very busy as both our rooms were upgraded into the comfort inn. hotel 87 rooms(we got a quick look) were a pretty crappy affair. dont have breakfast inn the hotel, it was quite pricy for what was basically tinned fruit, toast, cerial and boiled ham. none of the irons(1 on each level) were usable due to being dirty with burnt plastic. staff did not give a s%&t when we asked for help. stayed at 2 ibis hotels in london the next week and had far better experiences.

Review 2: The hotel 87 is located in vauxhall about 5 mins walk away from the tube station so found it to be an excellant base from which to explore London. The rooms were of a decent size - although we did book a twin and were given a room with 4 beds (enough to sleep 5 )!!! Was disappointed there were no tea making facilities in the room - although there was a coffee shop in the hotel it would have been nice to make your own cup of tea when you wanted it. Otherwise was a thoroughly enjoyable stay, have stayed at hotel 87 before and would most definately stay there again.

Review 3: Overall we were happy with our stay and would book again, only minor problems were as follows: The pillows were actually thinner than the duvet which did not make for the most comfortable nights sleep. Also there was only one each without any spares so we had to resort to using spare towels for better comfort. Booked online the night before arrival, although i had received conformation e-mails and ref numbers the hotel had no record of my booking. Very expensive car parking, you can get cheaper in central london.

Review 4: After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit worried but I didnt need to be because the hotel was exellent, the room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the location was really good for getting into London and Brixton Academy where we went in the evening, for the price we paid for the room we couldnt complain and the next time we have to go to London we will book the Hotel again

Park International Hotel

Review 1: Plumbing dated but adequate. Room a little on small side.

Review 2: Stayed at the Park Int for one night, location for tube, eating at night excellant, staff were very pleasant, room was very clean also, bathroom bit old but still ok, only downside was the room was a bit chilly.

Review 3: Hotel was very nosiy, I could hear my neighbours and a family in the room above throughout most of the night. Good value for its location, you wont get a 3 star in this area for less. Breakfast was reasonable although nothing to write home about.

Review 4: great weekend price...easy to get around with tube 2 mins away and bus more or less outside after having read various reviews, a bit worried about room quality and noise. maybe we were lucky, but double room room was fine, clean, albeit a bit snug, (no problem for a couple of nights),with bathroom in OK shape. we were right over reception on the first floor, overlooking Gloucester Road, but the noise was hardly noticeable. breakfast a bit crowded, but overall excellent value

Review 5: We were a bit surprised as the room was tiny compared to the photo we booked on. But in saying that - it was adequate and clean and most things worked. The location was fantastic and there were restaurants, grocerys, banks & tube very close.

Millennium Mayfair hotel

Review 1: Taking my 19 year old daughter shopping the hotel offers great location within walking distance of main shopping areas and when Id had enough a sit in the park opposite was very restful

Review 2: As title says, lovely location but the hotal wasnt as grand as I was expecting. Booked a double room but got a twin (althought they did change this). Room was ok, but nothing special, considering it is a 4 star hotel - was expecting a bit more luxury.

Review 4: We were going to a charity ball in Park Lane and this hotel was ideally situated. There were a lot of staff behind reception but check-in didnt go as smoothly as you would have expected. Our room was not ready and we were given a voucher for a complimentary soft drink in the bar. We were a party of 4 couples but one of our party was put onto the 4th floor while the rest of us were on the 2nd. The room was very comfortable, also the bed, but the room was rather small. Discount City Hotels gave us a very good rate which made up for a lot. If we had paid the full price of £275 for the night I wouldnt have been so accepting. There was limited tea, coffee & milk. Make sure you ask the concierge for a discount ticket for the car park. Many people were not told and 10% off made a difference. We would stay here again but only at the special rate. Well done Discount City Hotels!

Review 5: Excellent except that the rooms where not ready at 6.00pm on the Friday!

Rembrandt Hotel

Review 1: quite noisy. The floorboards in the room above were really creaking and there was a lot of noise in the corridor last night people moving about. The tv was also very fuzzy. expensive beer!

Review 2: the service at reception was not that great for a hotel of this standard. Firstly, they didnt speak clearly and although I have nothing against foreigners, one essential condition you should expect to receive from reception, your first point of contact, is friendliness and professionalism. They had 2 of my guests waiting in the reception lobby for 30 minutes because they refused to check them in, although there was a credit card number against their room booking.

Review 3: We have stay at this hotel 3 times before, and we will stay there again, because it is at very good hotel

Review 4: Only comlaint was that TV reception was very poor. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. the first time I just thought it wa a poor TV , but too much of a coincidence that the reception was again so poor on main channels with a very grainy picture that it was almost impossible to watch the TV.

Review 5: We stayed at the Rembrandt for two weeks. We have no complaints about the hotel, which is being renovated. Soon all rooms will be air-conditioned. We were also satisfied with the services of Discount City Hotels. One glaring exception is that although our confirmation clearly stated "All taxes are included. we were charged a VAT 0f 340.49 GBP. This matter is now in dispute, and the phone calls and faxes back and forth required to resolve it are an unnecessary nuisance. Better communication between the Rembrandt and Discount City Hotels is in order.

Queens Hotel

Review 1: Room was small, bathroom even smaller, but was clean, service was friendly, location was very good - quiet area, 10 mins walk from Tufnel Park tube Station. Heating did not work, but we were provided with heater. Excellent value for money. Will stay there again.

Review 2: I like the Queens Hotel! I stayed there in97,99, and now 2007. I was glad to see they were still there and in business. The staff are very friendly! It is not far from the tube station, and a bus, the 390, runs frequently down to the West End. There must have been some confusion, though, between this website and the hotel, because when I arrived they had no record of my reservation. Luckily, I had the printout of my confirmation, and I was actually upgraded to a larger room for the same price as my original single room. I might actually call the hotel directly to book if I stay there again, which I probably will!

Review 3: The room was small but okay as we really only slept there. We were expecting bunks as there was 5 of us but we got 5 beds so no real room to move at all. The kitchen staff were lovely and the breakfast was nice and plentiful.

Review 4: Noisy at night with people running about all night. Rooms poor with old utility furniture. Reception area bleak.

Review 5: Excellent location, friendly staff. A little bit grubby and out-dated. Cracked mirror, TV not working, lamps not working. Value for money.

Shaftesbury Premier London Hyde Park

Review 1: It has AC which was required this summer. Quiet at night. VERY small bathroom, room for 1 only,(cupboard) but it all worked and was very clean. No viewable picture on TV in room 402 and was never fixed. Staff could have been more welcoming and strugled with English. (Scottish) Good location for Trains. We walked or took a cab. Not much to do close to the hotel.

Review 2: Hotels location was alittle bit far from the central london and the price was high, but other services was excellent.

Review 3: The hotel itself has a reasonably good location, near to the tube stations and a nice break away from the busier parts of central london. However, the service was a little indifferent, and the staff seemed lacking in hospitality. The room was basic, a little cramped and if you stay in the basic accomodation you get put in the basement. Heat is also a problem, as the hotel seemed to be overly hot. On the whole the hotel is ok, but you can find better deals elsewhere.

Review 5: I understand if the airco cannot work in extreme heat - BUT: We were given a dirty room during checkin, we had to ask for a fan (twice), they moved customers back & forth between their other hotels like it was no big deal & the manager was never around to speak with the customers (in the 3 days I stayed there). Thankfully we had a nice breakfast every morning!

Commodore Hotel

Review 1: Excellent location. Just across the road from Hyde Park and short walk to Paddington Station. Staff were also excellent and went out of their way to assist. Would definately stay there again

Review 3: Just off Hyde Park with a quiet relaxing atmosphere. I didnt get an opportunity to sample the restaurant. Only point to watch out for was the onsuite bathroom was down a flight of stairs from the bedroom.

Review 4: a very nice Hotel, friendly staff, excellent breakfast selection. Downstairs is a hidden Gem, at night The Restaurant Lancaster Gate, this was good value! Single and Double rooms were more or less standard size while the executive rooms vary a lot.

Review 5: Staff VERY friendly and helpful.Excellent Continental Breakfast.Rooms on the small side - but not unacceptable.Adapted Victorian building could be problematic in respect of accessibility.

Belvedere Hotel

Review 1: We had a great weekend at the Belvedere Hotel. The room was clean, they were nice about us checking out a little late, and we have no real complaints. The room was on the third floor and there were no elevators though. Id stay there again.

Review 2: We had excellent service and would stay there again. The only hiccup was the first time we stayed,we were on the top floor and no lift.The staff arranged for us to stay on the second floor on our next visit,very helpful. They also let us store our bags in between stays.

Review 3: We took a family room and were very pleased with the overall standard which we considered above that of a two star rating.The room was adequate for our family, although the rumble from the underground could clearly be heard.The majority of the family had no trouble with this, although one member was pleased when the trains stopped running for the night. Breakfast was traditional English, plentiful and good, but we wish we had arrived at the breakfast room earlier; it was busy and we had to wait ten minutes before we could be seated. We intend to book in again soon, as the hotel is convenient for visiting major attractions.

Review 4: We had a room painted strong yellow, but a pleasant high ceilinged room overlooking the reasonably quiet square. The bedspreads need replacing and give a tired impression, (we like duvet quilts). Had to que for breakfast on Sunday morning, but appreciated the full English breakfast and this made the stay value for money.

Review 5: When we went to check in we showed the gentleman behind the counter our confirmation, it took him 30mins to find out that we did book the hotel then he showed us our room then he told us we would have to pay when we were checking out, overall we wernt very happy with a service.

Best Western Mostyn Hotel

Review 1: the only thing i didnt like is the size of the room and the absence of fridge in the room.

Review 5: Hotel was fine to stay after the Who concert at Hyde Park. Bar was very poor - no pint glasses, unable to provide a second glass of Prosecco as the downstairs bar was closed and the mini bottle of champagne at £10 was not chilled properly. Room was also not ready when we arrived after the check-in time. Otherwise, not bad and room air conditioning was very good on such a hot day.

Best Western Premier Shaftesbury Kensington hotel

Review 1: Cramped corridors, outdated room styling and tapestries which give a feeling of cheapness except for the bathroom which was quite good. Free broadband access as promised and enough room for London standards (which is to say, not much). Bed is OK but the noise from the corridor can be a problem. Good location next to the convenient Earls Court station.

Review 2: Staff very friendly, however requested room with 2 double beds, but this was a different price, which defeated the discount price. No cable TV or sports in rooms, nor anywhere on the premises. In-room internet, minifridge and microwve was a plus,and staff sent someone to help with the broadband connection.Would not choose this hotel again,though- nothing special to make it stand out in this price-range.

Review 3: The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless and this hotel provided a perfect base for our weekend in London.

Review 4: This hotel was great, the front of house staff were helpful and the room was awesome. I arrived a little later on for breakfast, with 30 minutes of service left. I was offered two different dirty tables, and then had to approach someone for coffee as we appeared to be ignored. For the price I expected a little service. The breakfast is a buffet breakfast though.

Review 5: The hotel is well situated down the road from Earls court station. Perfect for spending the day around the museums! However, the room was tatty, stains on the sheets and headboards. The room was very small for a double and positioned near the service area...this meant that for a non-smoker it was hell! All the staff hang around the fire exit having a fag break!

Royal Norfolk Hotel

Review 1: Nice and coasy hotel in the heart of London close to everything. This was our first visit at this hotel but not the last.

Review 2: I want to thank you all again for the lovely stay at your hotel. My husband and son, ere very surprised and grateful for the upgrade to the apartment. This was the first international trip for my teenage son, and it made quite an impression on him. The services was excellent, and secure, and we found our stay to be very enjoyable.

Review 3: The hotel was very basic and did not have much to do in it and the rooms were cold and night and the room and the toilet were tiny

Review 4: bed was very hard and the pillows were rock hard. The bathroom was exceptionally small but functional. Intrucive road noise. Breakfast very poor. Hamburger cheese and wafer thin ham with 1 round of toast each.

Strand Palace Hotel

Review 2: With the heat wave over and a good quiet room on the 8th floor... a comfortable and value for money good nights sleep.

Review 3: This is my second time at the Strand Palace Hotel and this time with a group of friends, all of whom where very pleased with the rooms, service and location. I will stay here again.

Review 4: £20 extra for club class. but I doubt if this is value for money. The room seemed very stuffy, even with open window and outside temp not particularly high. A fan would help. Location v convenient for my purposes.

Novotel London Tower Bridge hotel

Hesperia London Victoria hotel

Review 1: excellent hotel for location to station and theatres. Spotlessly clean, excellent facilities and service

Review 2: I cant honestly complain about anything in this hotel. Especially considering the price! its within 15 minutes walk of Buckingham Palace, Westminster, London Eye and many waterfront attractions. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The restaurant was very good with the pre-theatre menu being exceptionally good value. Staff were friendly, service was good, the balcony that we had with our smoking room was a nice touch too! If I had one complaint it would be that the room was a little small with not much storage, but, considering the cost and quality of the rest of the hotel, that really would be nit-picking. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone

Review 3: Whenever I stay in London I travel by megabus into Greenline Coach station. Whenever I stay in a hotel which isnt the Hysperia we struggle to get to the coach on time due to transport or hotel delays. Therefore I am unlikey to stay at any other hotel from now on. Location is perfect. Across the road from the tube, down the street from the coach station. I can make full use of my time by staying here. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean with a comfy bed, fridge (minibar), good shower, tv etc. Theres a sainburys, cashpoint, pub and argos all very close by, not to mention the Apollo Victoria. The only thing I would change is the price, even on discount hotels, but its normal for London so I cant complain. Stay here, its great!

Review 4: great hotel, stayed here the night before I did the Marathon. The staff were very helpful and hotel rooms were of a very good & modern standard. The only thing which let it down was the hotels leisure facilities. They were small & quite dated compared the the rest of the hotel. Other than this I would highly recommend it.
