The Wedgewood
is perfectly located to enjoy London at its best. Close by, Queensway provides
a large choice of ethnic and traditional restaurants and the well-known Whitleys
Shopping Centre. Communications are excellent with Bayswater and Queensway underground
stations just a short walk from the hotel.
Shops, pubs and restaurants can also be found in the area. Small and friendly,
this Wedgewood hotel has been nicely decorated in the guest rooms, as well as
the public area. The Wedgewood is convenient to fine dining, shopping and entertainment
venues.

| Really this should be described as a b&b, not an hotel. The rooms were disappointing - small, poorly decorated,but they were cleaned daily which was actually a surprise. The beds were not actually beds - they are camp beds, narrow, hard and not comfortable. The " en-suite " is actually in the wardrobe - literally!
Breakfast is served - after a fashion - in a fairly nice room but the cafe round the corner is much better Do not get a taxi from reception - we asked for a cab and what arrived was a private car with no cab licence, no driver identifier and no fare display. If we hadnt been in a hurry to catch our connection we wouldnt have got in. As it was, a journey that cost £10 in a London black cab cost £18!!!!! to go the same distance.
Its a very cheap place but you have to ask yourself why - then spend a bit more and go somewhere else. |
