We stayed here for a weekend and thought it was excellent value for money. Easy walking distance to covent garden, basic but clean rooms, good breakfast and served until 12 and they held our bags for us after we had checked out. Only down side is that the shower was very cramped and it would have been a nightmare if either one of us was very tall or wide.

After a long, hot September day I found the room very hot and stuffy. Thank God for the downstairs bar opening onto the street. Kettle didnt work.

this hotel was just about ok. Good location for us but quality of room furnishing and breakfast only average to poor. Upright fan in bedroom rather than air conditioning. Wont stay here again.

How disappointed I was to have luke warm water for a bath in the evening and then no hot water whatsoever in the morning for my shower. When I told reception in the morning they said that I was the second person to report this - like that was meant to make me feel beter!!!! No apology, no discussion around a reduced rate, no nothing! I wont be going there again.

The hotel itself is good value, good location and good service. However, the restaurant (Deans)was not so good. Clean and with a good menu but I had to ask for a menu and was then told that i would have to wait for at least 30 minutes for my food. I left and went to Pizza Hut, a few doors away

I would definately recommend this hotel. The location is ideal for touring London. Rooms very very comfortable and very clean (even get underloor heating in bathroom). Food was excellent, plenty to choose from all on a buffet system and all very hot. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Couldnt fault it. Would definately return and recommend.

Stayed here twice now, and have found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I come to London regularly with different members of the family as we are Theatre buffs, and the hotel is located close enough to walk into Theatreland. Rooms are comfy and facilities and tea and coffee good. Have recommeded hotel to a few friends.

We stayed at the Waverley House Hotel for three nights. The first room we were allocated had a door adjoining the next room and we could hear everything that was going on in the next room. I mentioned it to the concierge the following morning and we were moved to a much quieter room. The staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good. It was self service and there was definitely enough food. The only negative is that the rooms are very tired and are in desperate need of refurbishing. I will definitely stay again.

Saw some bad reviews just before arriving on other sites but they were wrong. Excellent location, good sized triple room, modern bathroom. No A/C on a hot weekend and the roadnoise on Southampton Row is loud. Staff were excellent and eating breakfast on the terrace was very enjoyable.Plenty of good bars and eateries on the doorstep.

The hotel got nothing very well, the people who work there are not friendly, they do not have anything special but the location is good. so if you want a bed to sleep in (cheap bed) and you can sleep trough the traffic sounds it is an ok hotel to see London city.

Reception on arrival was very poor, arrived at 2;30 and was told they were not sure if they had a room for us and could we come back in an hour.Rooms were found for us as we changed from a triple room to two twins, but only after we had suggested this. However would stay there again as location is great and price good.

We paid £99 for three of us to stay B+B. The hotel is in an excellent location for getting out and about in london, 5 mins walk from the underground. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Every request we made was dealt with immediately. The breakfast was great, set us up for our "5k walk for life" in regents park! Would return and would definitely recommend.

We had a girlie weekend away and this was a great base. No frills but clean, tidy and with reasonable service. The downstairs areas (inc breakfast room) were too warm but the room was fine. Cleaning in the communal areas eg lift could have been better.

Dear Sir/Madam we have stayed at this hotel twice, but this time i was disapointed, i had money stolen from my bag which i am going to report it to the hotel, and also on the saturday evening the toilet did not flush i did report it but nobody came to look at it. Arriving late on Sunday night, I was dealt with very quickly. The room I was allocated was very hot and typically small, as most London hotels are. It had air-conditioning which was very quiet, however there was a buzzing noise right beside the headboard and door - not the best place to put the headboard either, against the corridor wall opposite the lifts. On tracking the buzzing (too noisy to sleep with) I found it was coming through the ceiling in the corridor and varied depending of the weight & angle on the door frame. I was unable to silence it and headed for reception. They happily moved me to another room on another floor. Again hot and small, but after switching on the cooler and heading to reception for a while to meet my colleague and have dinner, the room was fine. Good breakfast. Everything else was standard for a London hotel, i.e. poor versus the rest of the country. Please feel free top contact me if you want to discuss anything. Robin

room good, a bit too warm though. Ran out of plates and glasses at breakfast, they couldnt cope with lots of guests turning up all at once. Breakfast good though. overall a good hotel.
